Bible Ministry

Naylor UMC received the vision to place a copy of God's Word in every home in the Naylor community.

Based on bringing this vision to fruition, the church has purchased and distributed over 500 Bibles to homes in the community. Inside of each Bible distributed is a list of other churches in the community and an invitation for those receiving the Bible to attend the church of their choice.

The overall intent of this ministry is not to bring people into fellowship into the Naylor UMC congregation, but to encourage them to read God's Word and to attend whatever church God leads them to associate with.

You can participate in this ministry by making donations for the purchase of additional Bibles or by joining us in distributing them to homes and businesses in the Naylor community

Outreach to Restaurants

Members of Naylor UMC recognized that many waiters and waitresses serve long hours on Sunday during normal worship service times and may only see the presence of God through those who visit their restaurants during the week.

In an effort to share the love of Christ with these men and women who serve others in these businesses, we developed "Tip Cards" and pledged to leave a minimum of a 20% tip along with a card during each visit to a restaurant.

These cards state,"Just a little something extra..To show you God loves you! Let us know if we can be of more assistance." On the back of the cards is the name of our church, along with worship times and directions.

For several years, Naylor UMC has been assisting Lifeline Ministries in Thomasville, Georgia, with their Christmas Shoe Box ministry. Every Christmas, LifeLines Ministry missionaries carry truck loads of brightly wrapped shoe boxes filled with gifts from Thomasville into Mexico.

Naylor UMC members participate in this ministry by gathering and filling shoeboxes with a variety of gifts for the children of Mexico. You can participate in this ministry by making donations of shoe boxes, gifts, candy, or money or by helping fill shoe boxes annually.
